ACK Deals ("we", "us", or "our") operates ackdeals.com, a local marketplace for Nantucket Island. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform.

• Business information when you create a vendor listing
• Messages you send through our inquiry system
• Photos you upload to your vendor or product listings
• Login information from third-party providers (Google, Facebook) if you choose to sign in with them

• To operate and improve the ACK Deals platform
• To connect buyers with local Nantucket vendors
• To send inquiry emails between buyers and vendors
• To send our newsletter if you subscribe (you can unsubscribe anytime)
• To provide customer support

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate ACK Deals: Supabase for database and authentication, Resend for email delivery, Plausible Analytics for privacy-friendly analytics (no cookies, no personal data), and Vercel for hosting. Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing their use of your data.

Cookies

ACK Deals uses minimal cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We use Plausible Analytics which is cookieless and does not track personal data. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to advertisers.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. When you send an inquiry to a vendor, your name, email, and message are shared with that vendor so they can respond to you. Vendor business information (name, address, phone, website) is displayed publicly on the platform.

Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Inquiry data is retained for 12 months. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Data deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at hello@ackdeals.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request within 30 days and confirm when your data has been deleted.

If you signed in with Facebook and want to delete your data, you can also submit a deletion request directly through Facebook's platform. We will honor all such requests within 30 days.

Your rights
